Xue lian

A vulnerable young woman from a disadvantaged background is sold to a dim-witted fish merchant with unsavory intentions. Despite her circumstances, she finds herself falling for a young gardener, and they embark on a fervent romantic relationship. When the gardener ends up killing the fish dealer and his mother, the couple is forced to escape from the authorities.
