Voice from the Stone

In “Voice from the Stone,” set in 1950s Tuscany, a determined nurse named Verena is hired to help a young boy named Jakob, who has mysteriously stopped speaking following the death of his mother. As Verena becomes more entwined with the boy and the eerie stone manor, she begins to sense a supernatural presence that seems to be influencing Jakob’s silence.
