The Playboys

In the conservative Irish village of the 1950s, a young woman named Tara Maguire (played by Robin Wright) causes a stir by giving birth to a child without being married and keeping the father’s identity a secret. Her exceptional beauty captivates all the local men, particularly Sergeant Hegarty (portrayed by Albert Finney). The situation becomes even more complicated with the arrival of a theatrical group, as Tara finds herself falling for one of the actors, Tom Casey (played by Aidan Quinn).
