The Misadventures of Margaret

A shy and self-doubting bestselling writer, supported by her overly attentive academic husband, embarks on a journey to write an erotic novel. Motivated by her sister and a bisexual friend, she travels to France to conduct research at an inn, which she believed was the setting for a diary filled with erotic tales. Upon arrival, she discovers that the inn has been transformed into a convent for singing nuns. Meanwhile, a young, recently divorced sound engineer is present, recording the nuns’ performances. Although she feels drawn to him, she primarily indulges in new fantasies until he eventually follows her back to New York.
