The Donner Party

Based on the true story of The Donner Party disaster, this film recounts the harrowing journey of a group of American pioneers heading to California amidst the westward expansion of the 1840s. Stranded in the Sierra Nevada mountains during the harsh winter of 1846-1847, some of the settlers banded together in a desperate attempt to reach California and arrange for a rescue mission.
