The Aspern Papers

Set in the late 19th century, “The Aspern Papers” follows an ambitious editor who travels to Venice to obtain the letters of a famous deceased poet, which are jealously guarded by the poet’s former lover and her niece. As he becomes entangled in their lives, the editor’s obsession with the papers leads to unexpected consequences.
