Sole Survivor

Throughout aviation history, only 14 individuals have emerged as the lone survivors of commercial plane crashes. Many of these survivors have remained silent, burdened by the loss, guilt, and overwhelming sense of being “spared.” Who could possibly comprehend their experience? Only fellow survivors can truly relate. “Sole Survivor” unites four of these individuals—George Lamson, Cecilia Cichan, Bahia Bakari, and Jim Polehinke—as they openly share their deeply personal and complex stories for the first time. They confront the most terrifying moments of their past in a quest for healing and to find answers to their most troubling questions.
