Explore the intertwined lives of two families residing at opposite ends of the freeway. Bess Denyar, a doctor, lives with her sophisticated mother, Margaret, her architect husband, Danny Bright, and their 13-year-old twins, Oscar and Edwina, who attend a private school. Bess’s world is turned upside down when she learns she was adopted. Her shock deepens upon meeting her biological parents, Wayne and Julie Wheeler, and discovering she has three siblings: Amber, Kayne, and Brianna. The Wheelers, who run a drag racing team in the outer suburbs, are ecstatic to reunite with the daughter they believed they had lost.
