Spider-Man: The New Animated Series
“Spider-Man: The New Animated Series” is an American cartoon inspired by the Marvel superhero Spider-Man. It aired for a single season, consisting of 13 episodes, beginning on July 11, 2003. This series serves as a loose follow-up to the 2002 Spider-Man movie directed by Sam Raimi. The animation was created using computer-generated imagery with a cel-shaded style and was shown on MTV and YTV. After the series concluded, reruns were broadcast on ABC Family as part of the Jetix programming block, eight months later. The show presented a more mature portrayal of Spider-Man than is typically seen in animated comic book adaptations on TV. Unlike the usual ambiguous fates, characters in this series are definitively killed, and there are strong implications of sexual relationships between several characters.
