Profiler

“Profiler” is an American crime drama series that aired on NBC from 1996 to 2000. The show centers on a criminal profiler who collaborates with the FBI’s fictional Violent Crimes Task Force in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ally Walker portrayed Dr. Samantha Waters, the profiler, for the first three seasons, after which Jamie Luner took over the role as Dr. Rachel Burke in the final season. The series also featured Robert Davi, Roma Maffia, Peter Frechette, Erica Gimpel, and Julian McMahon in supporting roles. Caitlin Wachs played Dr. Waters’ daughter for the initial two seasons, with Evan Rachel Wood assuming the role in 1998.

“Profiler” shares a similar main character and concept with the Fox Network series “Millennium,” created by Chris Carter. Both shows debuted at the start of the 1996–97 television season.
