Meet Amirah Al-Amir, an ambitious boxing trainer from an Iraqi-Australian background, who has always looked up to her father, Sami, a world champion. She works at the family-owned gym in western Sydney with her two brothers. Amirah manages to secure a professional debut fight for her determined boxer, Jess O’Connor, with the help of Sami’s long-time promoter, Strick. However, her father is enraged when he discovers she did this without his knowledge and threatens to sever ties with her. Faced with a tough decision, Amirah must choose between her commitment to revolutionizing women’s boxing and her loyalty to her family.
