Minority Report

“Minority Report” centers on the unexpected alliance between a man tormented by visions of the future and a police officer burdened by her past. Together, they strive to prevent the most heinous crimes of the year 2065 before they occur. The story unfolds in Washington, D.C., a decade after the dissolution of Precrime, a specialized law enforcement unit that preemptively apprehended criminals based on foreseen actions. This unit relied on three “precogs”—Dash, Arthur, and Agatha—who possessed the ability to foresee future events. In the year 2065, the approach to crime-solving has evolved, now relying more heavily on advanced and reliable technology rather than the precogs’ intuitive foresight.
