Inside Combat Rescue

The highly skilled Pararescuemen, or PJs, of the U.S. Air Force’s elite Combat Rescue unit have a singular objective: to save American or Allied personnel facing dire threats. Whether their targets are downed, stranded behind enemy lines, encircled, under attack, injured, or taken prisoner, PJs are committed to doing whatever it takes to bring them to safety. For the first time ever, these PJs have permitted camera crews to document their missions in Afghanistan. “Inside Combat Rescue” delves into the lives and experiences of these exceptional airmen.
