Drawn Together

Drawn Together

“Drawn Together” is an American adult animated sitcom that aired on Comedy Central from October 27, 2004, to November 14, 2007. Created by Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein, the show adopts a sitcom format set within a TV reality show environment.

Similar to MTV’s “The Challenge” and VH1’s “The Surreal Life,” the series features eight characters who are a mix of familiar and recognizable personalities. However, “Drawn Together” distinguishes itself by using exaggerated versions of well-known cartoon characters and archetypal figures. The characters’ traits are designed to satirize the typical personalities seen in reality TV shows.

Comedy Central promoted it as the first animated reality show, and in some episodes, the characters engage in challenges reminiscent of those found in reality TV competitions.

Despite being canceled after just three seasons, the show has retained a dedicated fan base. Following its cancellation, “The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie!” was released on April 20, 2010.
