Sara enrolls at Julliard in New York, aiming to achieve her and her mother’s aspiration of becoming the school’s Prima ballerina. She quickly forms a friendship with her roommates, Zoe and Miles, who are hip-hop instructors. Her ballet classes are led by the strict and renowned Monique Delacroix, whom Sara greatly admires. Monique demands total dedication, discipline, and effort from her students. When Miles, a composer, asks Sara to collaborate with him on creating music for a dance routine, she discovers a newfound passion for hip-hop and develops romantic feelings for Miles. As she is chosen to perform Giselle at a significant event, Sara finds herself torn between the precision of ballet and the creative opportunities presented by Miles.
