River Red

A young man is forced to kill his alcoholic and abusive father to protect his younger sibling. Knowing that his younger brother would face a lighter sentence, he confesses to the crime and ends up in prison. Meanwhile, the older brother discovers that his family is burdened with significant debt, and his earnings from washing dishes and selling wood are insufficient. Consequently, he embarks on a spree of convenience store robberies in nearby towns. Upon returning home, he claims to have received a modest inheritance. However, he is plagued by guilt, which complicates his budding romantic relationship due to this hidden truth. The film centers on his internal struggle to find the right path forward.
