RiffTrax Live: Samurai Cop

The Samurai Cop is ready to take on the bad guys and chew bubblegum, having already borrowed from enough films and clichés to stop right there. This officer, known as Samurai, has journeyed from the distant land of San Diego to Los Angeles. Because, naturally, setting the film in San Diego or having the cop originate from LA—or even Japan—wouldn’t make any sense. Expect beheadings, explosions, awkwardly inserted stunt doubles, clumsy dialogue, conspicuous lion heads, and some regrettable swimwear in this film that screams late ’80s and early ’90s.
