John Dunning, a fallen psychic with the ability to communicate with the deceased, finds himself entangled with the troubled Bellvue family dynasty. Tasked with probing the mysterious demise of their final heir, he is shadowed by the skeptical reporter Valerie Kreuger, who records his every action. However, when the death is deemed a homicide and John becomes the prime suspect, he must delve into the abyss of insanity to unravel the secrets of the family and their influence, before he either loses his sanity or faces an even graver fate.
