Mynarski Death Plummet
This entirely handcrafted historical mini-epic portrays the last moments of Winnipeg’s ill-fated World War II hero, Andrew Mynarski (1916-1944). It merges the dramatic elements of wartime aviation with both traditional and experimental animation methods, such as stop-motion, silhouettes, bleaching, scratching, hand-painting, and applying letratone patterns directly onto the film. “Mynarski Death Plummet” is a psychedelic, photo-chemical war film exploring themes of self-sacrifice, immortality, and jellyfish.
