After being found guilty of “Driving While Impaired,” Donna is sentenced to complete community service at a nearby animal shelter. When she learns that an old dog is set to be put down, she chooses to adopt him, discovering that his presence helps alleviate her sense of isolation. In a desperate bid to combat her loneliness, Donna starts bringing home more animals, eventually finding herself overwhelmed by the growing number of pets.
