Ricky Miller, a reserved and unassuming 40-year-old aspiring author who manages a diner similar to Denny’s, finds his life turned upside down when he experiences a metaphorical ‘lightning strike’ and encounters his dream woman, the stunning Danita, on the dating site E-Happily.com. This unexpected online romance quickly becomes more complicated than he anticipated, as Danita asks him to commit murder. Ricky’s best friend, Seth, is skeptical, believing that a woman as attractive as Danita wouldn’t be interested in someone like Ricky without hidden motives—or perhaps poor eyesight. Ricky begins to doubt the situation himself. Danita eventually reveals that she is married to Ben Jacobs, a charming crime novelist and former Rabbi. She claims she wants to leave her husband but fears for her safety if she does. Ricky is left to decide whether he will follow through with the plan to kill Ben so he and Danita can be together.
