Due to her surname “Kumada,” which translates to “bear + rice paddy,” and her looks, Misa is mockingly nicknamed “Pooh” by her high school peers. As a result, she is friendless and only feels at ease with her pet parrot and the goldfish in the school’s science lab. However, she unexpectedly forms a close friendship with Izumi, a charming and well-liked classmate. Although Misa is somewhat confused by Izumi’s interest in her, she is thrilled to finally have a friend. Yet, Izumi’s initially angelic behavior slowly reveals a more sinister side.
