Basri, a 55-year-old man, spends his days walking long distances along the railway tracks in his job as a railroad watchman. His mind is constantly preoccupied with the search for his son. Eighteen years prior, while his son was attending university in Istanbul, he was detained by the police for participating in antigovernment protests. After that, he vanished without a trace.
