Hamlet in the Golden Vale
A troupe of performers arrives at a secluded castle in the Irish countryside to bring Shakespeare’s Hamlet to life. As they delve into the play, the boundaries between the actors and their roles blur. Prince Hamlet encounters his father’s ghost and embarks on a quest for retribution against his deceitful uncle, Claudius, who has usurped the throne. Hamlet’s relentless drive for revenge disrupts the lives of all within the castle, exposing the complexities and paradoxes of human nature. After a week, the actors conclude their performance and depart, leaving the castle and its characters behind.
