Gibby

Katie, a young teenager, is deeply affected by her mother’s passing and finds herself unable to shake off her depression. She loses enthusiasm for school, distances herself from friends, and abandons her passion for gymnastics. However, her life takes a turn during the summer when she is given the responsibility of looking after Gibby, a Capuchin monkey belonging to her science teacher. Caring for Gibby brings about a significant transformation in Katie’s life. The monkey’s cheerful and carefree nature rekindles Katie’s joy and enthusiasm. With Gibby’s help, she re-engages with gymnastics, rebuilds friendships, discovers a potential romantic interest, and stands up to her rival, a mean girl determined to outdo her in everything.
