First Reformed

“First Reformed” follows Reverend Ernst Toller, a solitary, middle-aged parish pastor at a small Dutch Reformed church in upstate New York, as he grapples with a crisis of faith and existential despair. When a pregnant parishioner seeks his counsel for her radical environmentalist husband, Toller is drawn into a series of events that challenge his beliefs and push him towards a path of redemption and potential destruction.
