In the 1980s, Anna, a sprinter from the Czech Republic, begins her preparation for the Olympic Games. However, when she faints during a training session, she discovers that she has been administered steroids. Determined to quit using them, she faces a setback when her mother assists the coaches in continuing to provide her with the drugs.
