In her late thirties and navigating her first divorce, Randi finds herself embodying the term “hot mess.” At a party, she unexpectedly encounters Vince, an old high school friend of her younger brother. Vince, like Randi, is grappling with his own issues, trying to overcome a troubled past and a battle with drug addiction. As Randi faces the challenges of her newfound solitude, she and Vince form a complicated bond. Despite warnings from her friends, family, and colleagues about Vince being a potential disaster, Randi remains drawn to him. Meanwhile, Vince is haunted by his past, with his ex, Summer, determined to keep him from moving forward.
