Come on In, We’re Dead
The film recounts the most lethal confrontation for law enforcement in American history. On January 2, 1932, near Springfield, Missouri, a group of 10 police officers and one civilian attempted to apprehend two brothers accused of murder. The Sheriff, who had been a neighbor to the brothers’ family, anticipated no issues. However, they were mistaken. Out of the 10 officers and one civilian, nine were shot, and six lost their lives, marking it as the deadliest shootout for lawmen to this day.
