Carrie Fisher: Wishful Drinking
“Wishful Drinking” is an adaptation of Fisher’s memoirs with the same name. The stage version debuted in 2006 at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. It subsequently moved to Berkeley Repertory before making its Broadway debut in October at Studio 54. The production humorously explores Fisher’s chaotic personal life and career. The actress and writer shares anecdotes about her experiences working on the “Star Wars” films and her relationships with her parents, Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Additionally, she addresses her widely reported struggles with alcohol and substance abuse.
