Bugok Hawaii: Illusionary Paradise

Ja-yeong, at 42, receives a message from her husband about his plans to emigrate. Fearing she might never see her son again, she flees the psychiatric facility. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Cho-hee is unable to fend off the hospital director’s sexual advances. Upon discovering she’s pregnant, she feels joy rather than fear at the prospect of starting a family, prompting her to escape the institution to protect her unborn child. The two women, having successfully fled, embark on a journey together. In the meantime, the hospital director enlists Hyeon-su, a private investigator, to track them down. As Ja-yeong and Cho-hee encounter various individuals along their path, they begin to understand each other, leading to the shattering of their illusions.
