Lying to Be Perfect

During the day, Nola Devlin (played by Poppy Montgomery) is a modest and dowdy magazine editor who is often ignored and mocked by her colleagues. However, when night falls, she transforms into the renowned yet elusive advice columnist, Belinda Apple, thanks to the anonymity provided by her computer screen. Frustrated with their hectic lives and extra weight, Nola’s friends form the “Cinderella Pact,” pledging to shed pounds by heeding the guidance of their “fairy godmother,” Apple. When Nola’s dual identity is at risk of being exposed, she finds herself compelled to follow her own alter ego’s counsel. As the friends slim down, their true problems come to light, leading to unexpectedly positive changes in their lives.
