Andie is considered off-limits for dating, largely due to her older brother Alec, the high school’s most popular student, who ensures that no boys approach her. Luckily, Andie has the support of her three closest friends to help her overcome the “little sister” label: Dakota, her openly gay and self-assured best friend; Imogen, a shy and sheltered newcomer from homeschooling; and Courtney, Alec’s girlfriend and the previous year’s homecoming queen, who is reluctant to leave her high school glory days behind. Together, these four distinct personalities support one another as they navigate the turbulent, emotion-driven world of high school.
